About me

I love everything about software and my passion is in the process of creating new software applications.

I’ve held many different positions over the years representing “slices” of the full lifecycle software applications go through – from software developer to designer to Analytics analyst – accumulating unique knowledge and expertise along the way.

As a developer, the most enjoyable projects for me were the ones where I was involved with the full life cycle of the project, including requirements gathering and prototyping, before the actual coding. In many large companies, there is a clear separation between Research, Design, and Development which obviously makes sense, but I was lucky enough to also work in some smaller companies where I got to develop my design skills by creating my own designs and prototypes before developing the application.

My strength is in translating the needs and wants of the business into software applications that not only reflect the requirements accurately but also make it easier for users to perform their tasks. I make sure that my designs are accurate, all parts are working together harmoniously, and user experiences are smooth and effortless.

Research and exploration are essential parts of my design process so that I fully understand the problem we’re trying to solve or the goal we’re trying to achieve, and we are all on the same page.

I like working on solutions involving strategy and reasoning, as well as issues requiring a strong technical background where I can draw from my vast development experience to inject technical feasibility aspects into the discussion when needed.
